Combat 4.4 - The formulas

Disclaimer: much of this info is speculation, and is subject to change. If you have seen information that disputes this, I’m very willing to listen and adapt. However, please try to provide examples or document your findings. Only by the combined experiences of the community can we improve our knowledge.

I’ve been really trying to pay attention to the formula over the past few weeks, which is why it’s taken me a while to get this out.

We don’t know a lot about the specifics for Reign of Vampires, however we do know something about vampire wars, which is another game that is very similar to Reign of Vampires in many ways. We can use that as a starting off point and adjust that based on reliable information and experience.

Here is what we know:

The combat formula for VW is as follows:

1) Combat Rating = SQRT((att+def)*Clan+Equipment Rating)
2) The Devs said in the dev chat that both attack and defense are both used in all battles, however Attack is factored more heavily if you are attacking, and defense is used more if you are defending. They did not give any specifics, but this runs counter to the VW formula, so we will adjust it.
3) Based on VW, the game will use the Attack rating of your best gear to attack, and the defense rating of your best gear to defend.
4) The definition of “Best Gear” to the game determined by the SUM of a piece of equipment’s attack and defense. We see this in the fact that the game will select Hypnotic Mind Manipulation when attacking over the Death Gun, although the Death Gun has a higher attack score.
5) Combat results are determined by comparing that Attack Rating vs Defense rating and adding a random dice roll. (this is seen in situations when the same target is attacked and yielding a differing number of wins and defeats)
6) The VW formula does not use a random dice roll to determine combat. Therefore we will have to engage in some speculation as to how the game factors this in, until we get more solid information.
7) Experience is determined by a random dice roll and not affected by respective level, clan, equipment or hit list.
8) Damage is determined by a random dice roll and is not affected by respective level, clan, equipment or hit list.

Formula.

Using the information supplied by the devs, we can make an educated guess on the formula. It will be amended as follows, and subject to further revision as we learn more.

Attacking Formula:
Attack Rating = SQRT((att+(def*.5))*Clan + Equipment attack Rating)

Defending Formula
Defense Rating =SQRT(((att*.5)+Def)*Clan + Equipment attack Rating)

Combat Formula (this is speculation)
Results = Defenders DR - Attacker’s AR + random roll.
If the results are positive, the defender will win, if the results are negative, the Attacker will win.

Example:
Marcus, A combat Vamp has the following stats.
Level 100 Skill Points = 627 (495 (5 per level after level 1) + 132 (1 skill point per 3 levels of mastery *44 tasks)
Attack = 295 (294 skill points)
Defense = 240 (239 skill points)
Health = 100
Energy = 60 (50 skill points ) – Minimum to do all tasks
Stamina = 25 = (44 skill points)

Marcus has his clan maxed out and 501 HMM, 501 BA, and 501 VA. For sake of simplicity we will assume no discoveries. So, we will calculating Marcus’ attack and defense scores as follows

Attack: (12525 (501 HMM) + 1503 (501 BA) + 10521 (501VA) = 24549
Defense: (12024 (501 HMM) + 6513 (501 BA) + 510 (501VA) = 19047

Now we have enough info to fill in the formula:
Attack Rating = SQRT((att+(def*.5))*Clan + Equipment attack Rating)
Attack Rating = SQRT (295+120)*500+24549
Attack Rating = SQRT (207500 + 24549 = 232049)
Attack Rating = 481.71

Defense Rating =SQRT(((att*.5)+Def)*Clan + Equipment attack Rating)
Defense Rating =SQRT(147.5 + 240)*500+19047)
Defense Rating =SQRT (193750 + 19047= 212797)
Defense Rating = 461.30

Now for an opponent, lets go to the other end of the spectrum. Angeline is an evamp who happened to be unfortunate enough to show up of Marcus’ fight list. A bit into her carreer, she decided to put a few points into att and def to keep from being a complete target. She also has her clan maxed out and the maximum of the 3 main abilities.

Angeline is also level 100, with the same amount of skill points, divided like so.

Attack =100 (99 SP )
Defense = 100 (99 SP)
Health = 100
Energy = 439 (429 SP)
Stamina = 3

Her attack and defense rating are as follows.

Attack Rating = SQRT((att+(def*.5))*Clan + Equipment attack Rating)
Attack Rating = SQRT (100+50)*500+24549 )
Attack Rating = SQRT (75000 + 24549 = 99549)
Attack Rating = 315.51

Defense Rating =SQRT(((att*.5)+Def)*Clan + Equipment attack Rating)
Defense Rating =SQRT(50 + 100)*500+19047)
Defense Rating =SQRT (75000 + 19047= 94047
Defense Rating = 306.67

So, if Marcus attacks Angeline, we will factor combat as follows.

Att AR – Def DR + RR
306.67 - 481.70 – neg 175.03 + RR = results.

As we can see the random roll would have to be more than the difference (175.03) for Angelina to win. I believe the random roll is between 1-100. If this is the case, it is impossible for Angelina to win this battle.

Astral Vision.

I updated the spreadsheet with the info for astral vision in a new Blood Orbs section on the Bazaar tab. This is now the most powerful ability in the game. It costs 40 blood orbs to get. If you wanted to equip your clan with one of these each, it would only cost you $4008 in real cash to get them. A bargain, eh?

Weekend Event

2 posts from the Devs:

Reign of Vampires Weekend Event: Double Task Mastery Reward! - For this weekend only, you will gain 2 skill points each time you master a task (instead of the normal reward of 1!) Enjoy:) (for those of you who have already mastered all tasks, we...9;ll be having different events in the future that will help you more)

We'll also be introducing unique items this weekend that you will be able to acquire with Blood Orbs, as well as some new free ways of earning Blood Orbs (signing up for the newsletter, etc.)

OK, I was really excited about the weekend event, but this doesn't help me (or most of the veterans) out at all, so I'm kinda bummed.

I haven't seen anything on the new blood orb items yet at all either. I will keep you all informed if I see anything. If you come across something, post it here.

Thanks!

Off FaceBook site

Reign of Vampires has moved off of Facebook. Here's the link.

http://games.rawrgamer.com/vampires/

Everything of mine is there and seems to be working fine. Let me know how it's going for you. Reign of Vampires can also be played on facebook as well. There was some talk about Reign of Vampires leaving facebook, but it seems as if that danger has faded!

Long live Reign of Vampires!

Chapter 4.3: Combat - The Hospital

I've had several questions lately about how the hospital works, so in answering the questions I put together this chapter.

What is "The Hospital"?

The hospital is an area for weakened players to recover where they cannot be attacked. This is to prevent repeated kills of recovering vampires. Without the hospital, someone is killed, then they regenerate a couple hit points, and then they are attacked and killed again. They regenerate a few more hit points and boom, they are attacked and killed again in one hit. Not very fair, is it?

The Hospital is also a link that you can click on to heal your vamp of all damage for 1000 Blood. This has no time limit or any other penalty associated with it beyond the 1000 blood. It is great for fighting, and to keep yourself alive when you know you are on the hitlist. When I find out I'm on the hit list I just keep clicking on the hospital to make them really work for it! Although this is probobly not good for my stats..

Traditionally (meaning with some other games) a person goes to the hospital when they get under 20 health (NOTE: this is the amount for other games, I have not found a way to test if this is the exact number that ROV uses.) When they are in the hospital, they cannot be targetted or attacked.
Once you are in the hospital, you will remain there until you log back on. Even if your back up to full health, you will remain in the hospital until you log on. Yes this means that if you leave the game, and stop playing, you will be in the hospital forever after the first person attacks you.

You cannot elect to "stay in the hospital" via a button or function in the game. Clicking on the hospital link in the health bar allows you to heal yourself to full health for 1000 blood. That is all. It doesn't have anything to do with "being in the hospital" or anything.

Here are some of the questions, along with the answers.
Q: Does the game automatically send you to the hospital at a preset point?
A: Yes I believe it is 20, however further research needs to be done.

Q: Does it release you at another preset point? A: Yes, Judging by the way VW does it, you will become available for your attack the next time you log on.

Q: Can we click on hospital and hospitalize ourselves?
A: No. Clicking on the hospital only heals you.

Q: How do we know when we are in the hospital?
A: If you are online, you are most likely not in the hospital. Most of the time that you are off line will probobly be spent in the hospital, as chances are high that you will be attacked in the meantime.

Q: Is there a preset point at which we die?
A: Yes. 0 Hit points means you are dead.

Q: Should we be buying health when we get into a certain range?
A: No, I advise against buying health because it is so cheap to heal and has no recharge time between uses.

Q: If our health is low does that enter into our combat stats? I have more weaponry and a higher level but my health is at 30 and the other player is at 100 so I lose because I'm sick?
A: Interesting question, but I do not believe so. I have seen no evidence that your health influences your combat ability in this, or any other game I've played.

Q: Can we fight while in the hospital?
A: I've started fights at below 20 health, so this lends some strength to the argument that you don't go into the hospital when online.

Chapter 4.2 - Combat Hints and Tips

I'm working on a more detailed post for combat, but I wanted to get some basic information out to everyone as soon as possible.

1) Get to 501 clan as soon as possible – See building your clan (coming soon)
2) Equip each of your clan with the best possible attack powers, defense powers, enhancements and discoveries possible for your level, one of each category for every member of your clan. (confirmed in the game text)
3) Best possible gear is determined by adding the attack and defense rating of an item and selecting the highest. The individual att/def scores of the item are not compared by the game. For instance, the game will use Hypnotic mind manipulation (21A, 24D, 45T) over Death gun (25A, 12D,37T) when attacking. Even though the death gun has a higher att, the HMM has a higher total (45 vs 37) This helps to figure out what the game will use and why. (confirmed by experience and testing)
4) The combat formula uses both your attack AND defense rating in each combat. However it puts an emphasis on the att score when attacking, and an emphasis on def score when defending. (Confirmed by Dev)
5) Combat is influenced by a random dice roll on top of your combat rating. This explains why you can fight someone and win, then lose, then win again. (confirmed by experience and testing)
6) Damage done by combat, and experience are determined by random rolls. I have kept a log of combat and I can see no evidence that I get more experience, do less damage or take more damage when fighting a stronger opponent than a weaker one. (confirmed by experience and testing)
7) Since you get no benefit from attacking higher level opponents, and have a higher risk of losing the battle, it makes sense to attack the lowest level and lowest clan opponent in the hit list and fight list first, and then moving onto higher level opponents.
8) The general guideline for Combat Vamps is to have your Att at least 2x your level.
9) Your def should be between 1.5-2X your level.
10) Energy should be only as much as the most required for the tier you are currently working on.
11) Put nothing in Health. The hospital can heal you as many times as you want for only 1000 blood. Being able to heal this fast and cheap means that any points put into health are relatively wasted.
12) How much stamina to have is debatable. Stamina refills at a steady rate. Having more of it means you can do more at one go, but then have to wait till it fully recharges. Having a smaller pool can be just as effective as long as you spend it as soon as it is recharged.

Chaper 4: Combat Part 1- With Quiz!

We don't have a lot of information on the way combat is actually calculated in this game, as the developers have not published this information. However this game works very similarly to Vampire wars and mafia wars, and the formula for both of those games have been published extensively. If we make an assumption that this game uses something close to this formula, and I have found little to dispute this, we can go with the following.

Combat is calculated roughly by comparing the combat rating of two opponents, adding a random dice roll, and comparing the results. Damage is determined by dice rolls. There is no evidence so far to indicate that damage done is influenced by att/def or gear.

So it stands to reason that one should try to make their combat rating as high as possible. To do so we need to understand how combat rating is determined. The formula for combat rating in VW/MW is as follows:

Combat Rating = SQRT((Att+Def)*Clan + Equipment Rating)

Equipment rating is equal to 1 attack power, 1 defense power, 1 enhancement and 1 discovery for each clan member you have. The game will use different equipment depending on if you are attacking or defending.

Many people believe that the game will use gear with the best attack rating when attacking and the gear with the best defense when defending. THIS IS NOT THE CASE!

I found this out recently by experimenting. See my gear that was chosen when I was attacking someone the other day.

You, along with 501 members of your Clan, fought against Lady ***** with 100 Hypnotic Mind Manipulations, 401 Death Guns, 500 Body Armors, 1 Gauntlets, 7 Wings of Darknesss, 1 Lightning Reflexes, 3 Death, Viktor's Silver Blades, 1 Bloodlust, 10 Vampiric Daggers, 1 Injection: Adrenaline Rush, 478 Ammunition: Silver Arrows, 295 Venomous Auras, 1 Hypnosis Pill, 80 Fearsome Auras, 1 Strength Pill, 1 Thunderbird, 2 Nightvision Pills, 3 Speed Pills, 11 Bloodlust Pills, 2 Rage Pills, 3 Enhanced Movements.

Now, I have 501 Death Guns. Death guns have 25 attack vs the Hypnotic mind manipulations attack of 23. Why did the game select a weapon that has a lower attack power when I was attacking?

Kudos go to the person that has the answer. - yes this is a combat quiz! :-)

Chapter 3: Tasks

Chapter 3: Tasks

Doing tasks is one of the main aspects of the game. It is designed as the standard way of gaining XP and Blood (money). Tasks use up energy which is slowly replenished over time. The more skill points you put into energy, the more tasks you will be able to accomplish. This is the main strategy of an E-vamp. Tasks are broken down into areas. As you gain in level, you will unlock more areas (At the time of this writing, Cairo, Egypt is locked, and cannot be accessed, no matter what your level is. It is currently in development and will be unlocked once the developers of the game are ready)

Mastery:
As you do a task, a mastery bar will fill up by a set amount. Each task has it’s own amount. Some tasks will yield 20-30% mastery, so you would only have to do them a few times to get 100%. Others can be as low as 2%, and would need to be done 50 times to get to 100%. When you achieve 100% mastery in a task, you get a skill point. You need to achieve mastery in all tasks of an area before you are eligible to advance any to the next level of mastery. There are a total of 3 levels mastery for each task. You do not need to mastery all the tasks to unlock the next area. That is done by your level.

Items:
In addition to experience and blood, tasks can often yield items. Most of the items yielded by tasks are randomly dropped, so you will not get the item every time you do the tasks. The boss tasks have a set 3% drop rate, other tasks have not displayed the rates at which they drop, but experience has indicated that it is considerably higher. In addition to providing items, most tasks require one or more items to complete. Most items can be bought in the Bazaar, others can only be achieved by doing missions.

Consumable Items:
A few items (Injection: Blood Fury, Ammunition: Silver Arrows, Ammunition: Silver Nitrate Bullets, Injection: Epinephrine, and Injection: Hybridized Werewolf Blood) are used up when the appropriate mission is done. These items can only be acquired by doing other tasks. Once you are out of these items, you can only do them again if you go back and do the task that drops them a few times to replenish your stock. I have detailed many of these above in the FAQ. However, for a complete list of items, tasks, what they drop and what they require, please see my spreadsheet on google documents at : http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Amd42AzutJy_dE5RVzR0OXNHNS16X2NITDZ6bXRsdWc&hl=en )

Boss Tasks:
Each area has a boss to fight. These fights require a certain number of clan members as well as energy. After the first boss, William, each boss will require an item that has been dropped by the boss before. As these items only have a 3% drop rate, you may have to fight the boss many times in order to get the item. This is not a bug, they are designed to be difficult to get. These items are some of the most powerful in the game, and many have considerable upkeep costs (see equipment below.) As you fight the same boss, and achieve greater mastery in the task, the amount of energy required to fight the boss will increase, along with experience and blood.

Strategy:

For an e-vamp, tasks are the bread and butter of the game. There is a constant temptation to do tasks that yield the highest Experience to Energy ratio. (for this information see the spreadsheet at the link provided above) Doing this will allow you to level faster, however you will miss out on the substantial amount of skill points given for achieving mastery at all the tasks in the game. At 3 skill points per task (one for each level of Mastery) there are a total of 105 skill points that can be achieved in this fashion. In my opinion this is to substantial to ignore. It is even worthwhile to do the “Obliterate the Vampire Lord Coven” task, which is the only task in the game that yield less experience than it costs energy to do (23 xp for 26 energy) However this task is one of the easiest to master as it yields around 37% mastery each time you do it (thank you devs!)

My advice for the e-vamp then is as follows.

Proceed in a methodical fashion, doing each task to completion in order. Buy only the items required to fulfill the requirements for the next task. As you level and get skill points for mastery, invest them all in Energy. This will allow you to continue leveling up fore quite some time. You can easily get to level 10 in about an hour or so. Buy coffins (and coffins only!) with all the blood you can spare. You will need this income to cover the upkeep from the boss’ weapon drops. Be careful with your money vs. upkeep. If you start investing in coffins early, you should be ok. Once you have achieved mastery in all tasks, fight Marquis as much as you can. He yields the most experience for your energy, and has a chance of dropping the best weapon in the game (wings of darkness 35att/ 20 def). Continue doing this until you reach 500 clan. At this time you should have a substantial income. Equip your Vamp with gear listed in the equipment section and start putting your skill points into att/def and a few into stamina. Go out and kick some vampire ass for a while!

Energy packs:

Energy packs allow you to refill your energy to it’s original amount or beyond, based on the number of people that send you energy. This is another reason why having a large clan is very important. The more people in your clan, the more benefit you will get from an energy pack when you use it. Note: YOU WILL LOOSE ENERGY WHEN YOU LEVEL. This is not a bug, however, it does require some planning.

Here is my strategy for using Energy Packs:
Note: I've been e-vamping for a while, so my energy is at 350. This is enough to get me halfway up to level fighting Marquis from a new level. Then I use my e-pack. This will get me to the next level and an energy re-set (yes I lose almost 2-300 energy at this time). Fight Marquis until halfway to the new level. THEN WAIT. I need to wait for my e-pack to recharge, this will also get me quite a few energy naturally. I wait until I level with my natural energy, get the reset and repeat.

This will minimize the loss of energy, and maximize your level. I will go up 2 levels 2 or 3 times a day using this strategy.

Reign of Vampires

Beginners Guide to Reign of Vampires

Greetings all! I have been honored enough to be asked to write a concise guide to Reign of Vampires, and I have humbly accepted. I am attempting to put out all of the info I have collected from playing, research, and talking to other players about tactics and strategies. This will be a work in progress, and I will be adding to it as often as I can. Things I plan to discuss are, The Basics, Tasks, Combat, and Equipment.

I also have a spreadsheet with some more detailed information up at:
http://spreadsheets.google.co/ccc?key=0Amd42AzutJy_dE5RVzR0OXNHNS16X2NITDZ6bXRsdWc&hl=en

CHAPTER 1: The Frequently asked questions!

1) I can't do a mission because I don't have a piece of equipment. Where do I get it?

There are pieces of equipment that cannot be bought in the Bazaar, and must be found from doing tasks. They are as follows:

Basic Tasks:

Item Needed For Acquired from Notes
Blood fury Marquis' Lair Purge a Nightclub in Paris, France The item is used up by doing the mission.
Silver arrow Eliminate a Clan of Werewolf Guardians Raid the Blacksmith The item is used up by doing the mission
Silver Bullet Confront the Thoros, Loot a Military Weapons Lab The item is used up by doing the mission
Hybridized Werewolf Blood Ransack Marquis' Blood Reserve Break into a Top Secret Laboratory The item is used up by doing the mission

Boss missions:

Item Needed For Acquired from Notes
Bloodlust Boss Fight: Viktor Boss Fight: William 3% Drop rate. Item is not used up.
Viktor's Silver Sword Boss Fight: Angeline Boss Fight: Viktor 3% Drop rate. Item is not used up.
Lightning Reflexes Boss Fight: Marquis Boss Fight: Angeline 3% Drop rate. Item is not used up.
Wings of Darkness ??? Cairo Boss ? Boss Fight: Marquis 3% Drop rate. Item is not used up.

2) "I can't get the item from one of the bosses, I've done it a bunch of times! There must be a bug."

Nope, there is no bug. Every time you do the task you have a 3% non-cumulative chance of getting the item. Statistically speaking, if you do the task 100 times, you should have 3 items, or 1 item every 33.3333 times. However, as a non-cumulative chance, this means that the outcome of this task is not affected by the last time you did the task in any way (or last 5 or 10 times for that matter.) It is theoretically possible (although however unlikely) to do the task hundreds of time and just have bad luck on the roll and not get the item. Keep doing the task, and you will get the item, eventually. Don't worry to much though, your not wasting your energy. You get the best amount of experience and money for your energy points doing boss fights.

3) "How many levels of mastery are there? I'm stuck at level 1 mastery!"

There are three levels of mastery for every task, including the bosses. Mastery for the basic tasks works a bit differently from the mastery for bosses. For the basic tasks, once you hit 100% level 1 mastery in one task, you will not move into level 2 mastery until you have achieved 100% level 1 master for all tasks in that location (not counting the boss). Once you have 100% level 1 mastery in all tasks for that region, you can start over on level 2 mastery. The same process repeats for level 3.

For Boss Mastery, level 1,2 and 3 are not related to the level of mastery for the basic tasks. So when fighting William, once you hit 100% level 1 mastery, you immediately roll over to level 2 mastery, (and same with level 3) regardless of where you are at in levels of mastery for the basic tasks. Once you hit 100% level 3 mastery the bar disappears forever. So if you don't see a mastery bar for a boss, that means you have achieved 100% level mastery.

4) "I did all the tasks up to level 3 mastery, but I can't unlock Cairo, Egypt! What do I need to do?"

Wait. Cairo, Egypt has not been made accessible by the developers. There will most likely be a post on the news area, lots of new announcements from your clan, and tons of discussion on the message board once it goes live. Don't worry, you won't miss it.

UPDATE - Cairo has opened, however now we have Romania in the same boat!

5) "I lost this battle! That unpossible! This game must be bugged!"

There are many factors to this. I will go into it in more detail in the combat section. (Coming soon)

Chapter 2: The Basics!

Here are the basics.

1) Do everything you can to get your clan up to 500 as soon as possible, no matter what your play style will be. Clan is the most important factor for deciding battle outcomes. For someone to be in your clan, they must also be on your friends list. Yes, this can be inconvenient to have 500 or so people on your friends list with your real friends and family, but you can delete them after clanning up with them if it is an issue. To do this, send someone a friend request, and then getting them to click on your vampire add link, or clicking on theirs. (more on how to get this in a moment.) Once you are friends only one person has to initiate the clan request for the game. When you add someone to your clan, you are automatically in theirs, and vice versa.

2) Choose your play style. There are three main types of play styles. They are Energy Vampires, Combat Vampires, and Jack Vampires. Even though you are selecting a play style at the moment, you are not constrained to it. Most players bounce back and forth between styles at various times though their vampire’s careers. Here they are with a brief synopsis of their advantages and disadvantages.

Energy Vampires (E-Vamps) – Energy Vampires spend a majority, if not all of, their skill points into Energy and doing tasks. This allows them to level up quickly, acquire extra skill points for completing tasks, and have a good supply of money. Since very little equipment is required for completing tasks, money can be spent on investments, and they can build up a lot of income over time.
The down side to playing an E-vamp, or e-vamping, is that you will be consistently defeated in combat. You will be a punching bag for everyone around your level, although this is just off of the fight list. You will rarely be hit listed, unless some malevolent soul decides to put you there at random, because you aren’t attacking anyone yourself. You will lose pretty much any fight you attempt to instigate as well. This will be reflected in your win/loss stats and death/kill stats. If you are going for an impressive set of stats you can show your friends, this is not the road for you.
Another aspect of e-vamps is that they have long periods without much to do in the game. Energy takes longer to refresh than stamina, and there is normally a lot more of it required to be useful. Many e-vamps check in once or twice during the day, do all their missions and log out. If you are a more casual player, this might be attractive to you.
E-vamping also requires very little clan. This is why it is popular with players just starting out. It gives them some time to get their clan in order, and build up some income to cover the upkeep of their fighting gear.
Combat Vampires (Break Vamps) – These vampires spend all their time, skill points and money fighting and gearing up for fights. They put their skill points into a blend of attack, defense and stamina, to a lesser degree. There is discussion as to the best way to do this, however as we don’t know the specific combat formula (more on this later) we cannot be certain. Some believe that defense has very little to do with combat when you are the attacker. Others find great fun in being put on the hit list and watching smaller Combat and Rage vamps dash themselves on their defensive wall, (which might become a viable leveling tactics if the developers decide to give out XP for defending in a battle and winning).
Combat requires that you have a full clan. Your clan acts as a multiplier for your combat rating, and it is very common for a lower level vamp, with minimal gear and full clan, to beat a higher level vamp with very good gear and a small clan. I cannot stress it enough. If you want to fight, you need to get full clan as much as possible.
Combat vamps need to spend exorbant amounts of blood for purchasing the best gear, as well as the upkeep for all the gear for their clan. This can be quite difficult to do when first starting out. We will go into more detail on combat and equipment later.
Combat Vamps are very busy, Stamina regenerates quickly and with a high enough stamina, coupled with frequent trips to the hospital to replenish heath, the combat vamp spends their time in a whirlwind of blood lust. Attacking foes mercilessly until they crumple like rag dolls beneath their onslaught. They will have a high win/loss and kill/death ratio that they can wear like a badge of honor. They can also rake in high payoffs from collecting bounties off of the hit list.
Jack Vampires – (short for Jack of all Trades) these vampires take a much slower view on leveling. While both other classes attempt to level as fast as possible. These vampires believe that slow and steady wins the race. They split their skill points across combat skills and energy (2att, 2def, 1 energy per level, and 1 attack, 1 defense and 1 energy and 1 stamina per level are common splits.) This allows them to do tasks, and fight effectively; however they tend to be a bit slower to play. It takes longer to build up the amount of energy to do boss missions, and they will not have att/def high enough to go head to head with a combat vamp of equal level and clan.
Jack vampires will always have plenty to do. Between tasks, combat and trying to collect enough blood to stay equipped, they can stay logged in almost all the time.
